Identify a pure sequence first
A pure sequence normally uses three or more consecutive natural cards from the same suit. Adding a printed or wild joker can make the group impure. Ace position and minimum group requirements can vary by room, so check the current rule panel.
Separate sequences from sets
A sequence follows rank order within one suit. A set groups the same rank across different suits. Sort cards by suit first, mark natural runs, and examine equal ranks only after the pure sequence is protected.
Use jokers deliberately
Keep jokers separate while locating natural runs. Add them later to the gaps allowed by the current rules. Placing a joker too early can hide a possible pure sequence or leave another difficult group incomplete.
Audit before declaration
Confirm the required pure sequence, any additional sequence requirement, every remaining group and the total card count. If one group cannot be explained clearly, do not declare. A written practice hand is safer than trying to repair every group during the last seconds of a timer.
